Why I’m a fan of Bagpipers and Their Classic Whisky
Bagpiper, the Scottish band from which the Bagpipes logo was inspired, released their debut full-length, The Bagpipe Sessions, on October 18, 2018.
The band’s first single, “We’re Still Bagpiping”, premiered on the BBC in 2018.
The band’s second single, the self-titled debut, debuted in the United Kingdom in 2020 and debuted on the Top 40 single chart in the UK.
They went on to have a successful run with their follow-up, “In the Bag,” which hit number 1 on the UK single chart.
On October 23, 2020, Bagpigs announced that they would release their third full-album, Bagpipe Songs, on March 13, 2021.
The album was a huge success, selling over a million copies in its first week and also debuting on the US Billboard 200.
Bagpies third full album, The Longing, arrived in the summer of 2021 and went on sale to a massive success.
It debuted at number 1 in the US, number 4 in the EU and number 2 in Canada.
The Bagpichis fourth full-fledged album, A Collection of Bagpipe Tunes, debuted on January 24, 2022 and was the band’s highest-charting album to date.
It also became the first album to reach the Top Ten of the UK’s charts in the week after it came out.
The Bagpicians fifth full-sized album, Bagpot Music, debuted that same year.
It went on the Billboard Top 40 in the States for five weeks, while also hitting number one in Canada, the US and the UK for the first time.
In 2017, Bag Pipes announced the signing of Australian artist, Jason Frundman, as the lead singer of Bag Pipers.
In 2018, the band performed the title track off of their fifth studio album, To Be the Bag, for the International Bagpickers Awards.
In 2020, the Bagpipe band made history as the first band in history to be nominated for a Grammy Award.
They were nominated for Best Male Solo Performance and Best Female Solo Performance for their performance of “Pompeii”.
They were also nominated for two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Albums and Best Rock Song.
Bagpipe’s seventh studio album was released in 2021.
